For immediate download: Bach’s Art of the Fugue
Making a studio recording of J.S. Bach’s “Art of the Fugue” is a massive undertaking. The music is very complex by nature, and both intellectually and technically challenging to play. That is why pianist Kimiko Ishizaka invested more than 3,000 hours practicing and studying the piece. She also performed it as often as possible.
The most notable live performance, from St Johns Smith Square (September 23, 2016), is now available for immediate download to anyone who backs her Kickstarter project (€20 or more). This gives you the chance to become familiar with the piece, including the completion to the final fugue which Kimiko wrote herself, while we wait for the studio recording to be finished and released.
